PORTLAND, Ore. – Five Portland State players scored in double figures to highlight a 101-64 nonconference romp over the Linfield Wildcats Monday night at the Stott Center.
Vikings star Chehales Tapscott led the scoring parade with 19 points on 8-of-10 shooting. Charles Odum added 16 points, and Nate Lozeau netted 14 points and a game-high 12 rebounds for PSU (1-2).
Linfield (1-2) had three players reach double digits in scoring and the Wildcats shot a respectable 44 percent from the field. But 18 turnovers coupled with just two successful free throws (on three attempts) spelled doom for the lower-division Wildcats.
