McMINNVILLE, Ore. – MacKenzie Doty scored the lone goal to lead Linfield over visiting Southern Oregon 1-0 Friday afternoon at the Linfield soccer field.

The Wildcats are now 3-0 on the season while the Warriors, who compete in the Cascade Conference, slip to 2-3.

By Linfield standards, it was an extremely quiet game offensively. The two clubs combined for just 20 shots, 11 of which were taken by the ‘Cats.

Doty was the only player to connect for a score. Her unassisted goal came 57 minutes into the second half when her shot from the right side of the goal snuck into the net near the front left post.

Defensively, Apolonia Martinez made four saves to earn her second career shutout. Raiders goalkeeper Jessica Kuehlwein made seven saves in the loss.

COMING UP: Linfield hosts its second-straight home game Saturday night when Corban comes to town. Match time is set for 7 p.m.
