McMINNVILLE, Ore. – It sure has been a busy week for Emily Fellows (Jr., Portland, Ore.). Three days after setting the Linfield program record for most career goals, on Tuesday the sophomore was honored as the Northwest Conference Women’s Soccer Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week by the league’s sports information directors.
Fellows tallied five goals in two matches over the holiday weekend to help the Wildcats open the season with a 2-0 record.
The 2011 NWC Offensive Player of the Year scored four times against Oregon Tech. The performance marked her fourth career hat-trick and matched a Linfield record for most goals scored in a single match. She added another goal in a win over Northwest Christian.
This is the fifth time in her career Fellows has been honored as the player of the week, and the first time this season.
