Wilson was a major reason why No. 8 Linfield won three of four games against No. 7 Chapman over the weekend. He nearly single-handedly brought the Wildcats back in the final game of the series, hitting a pair of three-run homers over the final four innings. For the series, he hit .571 (8-for-14) with four home runs, 12 RBI, a 1.429 slugging percentage, .611 on-base percentage and two stolen bases.

On the season, he is batting .491 (26-for-53) with a team-leading .849 slugging percentage and .548 on-base percentage. He has hit five home runs, batted in 21 runs and ranks second on the team in stolen bases with 13. Defensively, he has a .966 fielding percentage over 59 total chances at second base and center field.

NEXT: Linfield plays its final home series against conference rival George Fox. Friday’s doubleheader begins at 1 p.m. and Saturday’s single game starts at noon.
