NORTH PLAINS, Ore. – Led by second-place finisher Matt Kitto, Puget Sound shot a team score of 594 to walk away with the victory at the Pacific Spring Invitational at Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club. Whitworth (601) came in second followed by Linfield (608), Pacific (609), George Fox (654), and Willamette (697).
Max Bonk of Pacific continued his dominance with a second round score of 67. He finished the tournament first overall with a score of nine-under-par 133.
Kitto was runner-up at 141, followed closely by Whitworth’s Jesse Salzwedel, who carded a 146.
Linfield’s Alex Fitch finished fourth overall with a final score of 148. Fitch was only one stroke better than teammate Yutaro Sakamoto, who finished with a two-round total of 149.
Josh Kay and Tommy Schmitz finished the scoring for the Wildcats with scores of 152 and 166, respectively.
