FOREST GROVE, Ore. – Ten different players scored for the Pacific lacrosse team as it defeated the Linfield club 24-12 Monday evening at Lincoln Park Stadium.

The Boxers (8-4) led by just four at halftime, but outscored the Wildcats (1-10) 13-5 in the second half to blow the game open.

Linfield was ahead only once, at 3-2, after a Duarte goal with 24:22 left in the first stanza. But back-to-back Pacific goals by Natalie Getchell and Molly Bailey allowed the home team to seize control of both the scoreboard and the momentum.

The ‘Cats remained within striking distance up until just under three minutes before the break, when the score was 8-7. But the Boxers would score three more times before the halftime buzzer and post the first three goals of the second period to increase their lead to 14-7.

Linfield’s Shelby Duarte (Soph., San Ramon, Calif.) and Anna Gorciak shared game-high scoring honors with Pacific’s Kaitlyn Harper, as each player notched five goals.

Taylor Fisher and Monique Schreiber had the only other scores for the Wildcats.

The Boxers outshot the ‘Cats 38-21 on their way to registering the most goals in program history.

NEXT: The Wildcats play host to Puget Sound in a Saturday afternoon match at the Linfield lacrosse field. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
