McMINNVILLE, Ore. – Linfield’s Brynn Hurdus has been selected as the Northwest Conference Women’s Golf Student-Athlete of the Week. The honor was announced Tuesday by the league’s sports information directors.
Hurdus was runner-up at the Pacific Lutheran Invitational, just one stroke behind medalist Emily Guthrie of Whitworth. She finished with a two-round score of 159 (15 over par).
The senior held a three-stroke lead after round one, when she carded a tournament-best 77, before slipping to second place on day two.
As a team, Linfield finished second at the invitational, four strokes behind Whitworth.
