McMINNVILLE, Ore. – Three days after earning All-America honors, Linfield’s Catherine Street has been named Northwest Conference Field Student-Athlete of the Week. The award was announced Tuesday by the league’s sports information directors.
Street placed third in the pole vault at the NCAA DIII Women’s Indoor Championships by clearing a height of 12-8.25 (3.87m). It was her best finish in three appearances at the national meet. She was fifth as a sophomore and seventh as a freshman.
The junior holds the school record in her event at 13-1.50 (4.00m) and is the defending NWC champion.
NEXT: The Linfield track team competes at the Lewis & Clark Spring Break Open. The two-day event runs Friday and Saturday in Portland.
