McMINNVILLE, Ore. – Linfield’s sweep of Whitworth has produced a Northwest Conference Women’s Softball Student-Athlete of the Week in Staci Doucette. The honor was announced Tuesday by the league’s sports information directors.
Doucette hit .667 over the weekend as the No. 1 Wildcats defeated the Pirates four times. She sent three balls out of the park, including a grand slam, and totaled nine RBIs. All in all, she racked up 17 total bases. Her slugging percentage was 1.417 and she also posted a .714 on-base percentage.
This is the first weekly honor of the season for Doucette, who was an All-American and the NWC Player of the Year in 2010.
NEXT: The Wildcats host Yamhill County rival George Fox in a Saturday doubleheader beginning at noon.
