McMINNVILLE, Ore. – K.C. Wiser capped off a remarkable four-year career at Linfield by being named to the all-Northwest Conference team, as announced by the league Friday.
This season, he averaged a league-leading and career-high 23.1 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. He scored 20 or more points on 17 separate occasions, including four 30-plus point games.
This is Wiser’s fourth time being selected to the all-conference team. He was a first team selection as a junior and a second team selection as both a sophomore and freshman.
He was chosen as the NWC Men’s Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week twice this season, and four times in his career.
Wiser ends his career as the No. 7 scoring leader at Linfield, totaling 1,568 points over four years. His career scoring average (17.4) ranks eighth on the all-time list. He also ranks in the top ten in seven other statistical categories, including first in games started (90), minutes played (2915) and minutes per game (32.4).
The senior was the only Linfield player to receive all-conference recognition. Whitworth’s Michael Taylor took home NWC Player of the Year honors, and Pirates head coach Jim Hayford was selected as the NWC Coach of the Year.
The Wildcats finished seventh in the Northwest Conference with a 5-11 league record and 9-16 overall mark.
