SALEM, Ore. - It was a well-rounded effort by Linfield Saturday night at Cone Field House, as three reserves came off the bench to score in double figures as the Wildcats rolled through Northwest Conference rival Willamette 95-58.

Led by a game-high 29 points from leading-scorer Gretchen Owens, Linfield (7-5, 2-2 NWC) raced out to a 19-point halftime lead, before burying Willamette (1-10, 0-4 NWC) in the second half.

When Owens wasn’t scoring, the Wildcats got strong performances from reserves Brynna Fuller, Chandler Jones and Micha Pringle. Pringle, who developed into a dangerous scoring threat as the non-conference schedule concluded, paced the trio with 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting.

Fuller scored 12 points on 3-of-5 shooting, while Jones added 11 points, including a 3-of-4 output from three-point range.

Leading 12-7 after a Willamette basket at the 11:13 mark of the first half, Linfield seized control with a 17-5 run over the ensuing six minutes. Jones capped of the run with two of her three 3-pointers.

After the Bearcats trimmed the deficit to 10, the Wildcats raced off nine-straight points over the final 1:25 to close the half. Owens and Pringle combined for seven of Linfield’s nine points during the final push going into intermission.

The Wildcats shot 56.7 percent from the floor in the first half, while holding the Bearcats to 27.8 shooting.

Linfield continued to roll in the second half, building its lead to as many as 41 with just over six minutes remaining in the game.

Along with a 52.2 percent clip from the floor, the Wildcats took care of business at the charity stripe, knocking down 22-of-27 free throws. The Wildcats helped their cause with nine 3-pointers.

Kaileigh Westermann was a bright spot for the Bearcats, as she tallied a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. With the exception of 17 points from Alex Zenna, no other Bearcat player scored more than six points.
