Balanced scoring boosts UPS
Box Score
TACOMA, Wash. – With four players scoring at least three goals, Puget Sound used balanced scoring and lockdown defense in the second half to run away from Linfield 23-5 in women's lacrosse action Sunday at Lower Baker Field.

UPS got five goals from Olivia Keene, four from Kerri Smith and three others from Maddie Soukup and Meghan Bacher to produce the lopsided outcome.

Sierra Edgerly (Sr., Cornelius, Ore.) scored three goals for Linfield. Halee Helgerson (Jr., Milwaukie, Ore.) and Chas Title also found the back of the UPS net.

The Loggers outshot the Wildcats by a 43-11 margin. Linfield goalkeeper Eriki Phillipo was credited with 14 saves.

Linfield played without its leading scorer, Shelby Duarte (Jr., San Ramon, Calif.), who was sidelined with an injury suffered during the Wildcats' spring break trip to Illinois.

AHEAD: Linfield (2-11) faces George Fox Tuesday night in Newberg starting at 5 p.m. The ‘Cats then play Friday night at 6 against the Pacific Boxers in Forest Grove.
