LaBeaume picks up honor headed into NWCs
Entering her final Northwest Conference Championships, Anna LaBeaume has been honored as the NWC Women's Field Student-Athlete of the Week, as announced Monday after a vote of the conference's sports information directors.

LaBeaume was the only double-event winner in the field events at the Lewis & Clark Open, topping the field in both the discus and hammer throws. She also was runner-up in the hammer. The senior threw the discus 129 feet, 7 inches (39.50 meters), the hammer 155 feet, 4 inches (47.34m) and the shot put 38 feet, 5 inches (11.71m).

Among Northwest Conference leaders, LaBeaume ranks third in all three throwing events headed into the league meet. She is the two-time defending champion in the hammer and has won four individual titles in three seasons. The senior owns three top-five marks in the Linfield record books, including the all-time top performance in the hammer.

COMING UP: The Northwest Conference Championships are scheduled for Friday and Saturday at Puget Sound's Baker Stadium.
