Junior outside hitter Kailana Ritte-Camara (Sr., Molokai, Hawaii) has received recognition on the all-Northwest Conference for a third straight season. The conference's nine coaches recognized her performance with a position on the all-NWC second team.
A second team all-NWC selection in 2012, Ritte-Camara was also an honorable mention pick following her freshman campaign of 2011.
The outside hitter leads her team with 245 kills, an average of 3.22 per set, for the 2013 season, a steady improvement from her 2.73 kills per set she recorded last year and the 2.82 average she posted during her freshman campaign. Starting all 23 matches, she ranked seventh in the NWC this season in kills per set and sixth in points per set.
Not only a steady attacker, Ritte-Camara also recorded 214 digs, second-most on the team. She also tallied six solo blocks and 24 block assists this year.
During the season, Ritte-Camara became on the third player in Linfield history to surpass both the 700-kill and 700-dig plateaus, joining graduated all-stars Andrea Beck (2000-03) and Amy Peterson (1993-96).
The Wildcats finished with an 8-15 overall record, including a 4-12 mark against league opponents.
