Hugh Yoshida
Athlete 1978 - 1962

Hugh YoshidaHugh Yoshida, Class of 1962, was an All-America football player at Linfield and a member of the 1961 Camellia Bowl team that played for the national championship. Competing under Hall of Fame coach Paul Durham, Linfield compiled a 29-7-2 record during Yoshida's four years.

He returned to his home state of Hawaii and began coaching in high school. He later succeeded Durham as athletic director at the University of Hawaii, a position he held for 10 years prior to his retirement in December, 2001.
