LOGOS

The Linfield College athletic logo, depicting a sailor-capped Wildcat, is an endearing symbol of the college’s sports teams. In use for more than 50 years, it has become uniquely identifiable with Linfield Wildcat athletic teams and individuals.

In the interest maintaining a uniform brand image, the Wildcat logo must be applied consistently, using one of two primary stock images. Three alternative images may also be used if the primary logos cannot be used due to printing or other reproductive concerns.

Whenever possible, the two-color version of the logo should be used, printed in the specified colors. When printing the logo in black and white, the black-and-white screened grayscale Wildcat logo should be used.

When restrictions of budget or other concerns limit the number prevent use of the screened images, the logo may alternatively be presented as one-color line art image using PMS 267 (purple), PMS 201 (cardinal) or black (3, 4, & 5).

For situations where the logo will be used as a background beneath text, use the 20 percent screened logo.

LOGO DOS and DON’TS

DO NOT change the colors of the logo. Always use PMS 267 (purple) and 201 (cardinal).

Do not print the color version of the logo on colored paper. This will affect the color of the logo. Use the black version when printing on colored stock.

Do not tilt the logo, skew or otherwise apply special graphic effects to the logo without consulting the sports information office.

Do not reproduce the logo smaller than 1 inch in diameter. If a logo larger than four inches is needed, contact the sports information office for a larger version of the logo. Do not stretch the logo.
