Biography

Matt Brown is serving his second season on the Linfield coaching staff, serving as the head coach of the junior varsity program as well as an assistant with the varsity team.

A native of Maui, Hawaii, Brown was a five-time varsity letterman in basketball and football at Maui High School. He was two-time honorable mention all-conference selection in football, received both second team and honorable mention accolades in basketball and was also honored as the team’s most valuable player in basketball.

At Linfield, he played a season of hoops for head coach Larry Doty before joining the coaching staff as a senior. Brown graduated in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy.
