Biography
Scott Kimura enters his second year as an assistant coach after concluding a four-year swimming career at nearby Pacific University.
Kimura specialized in the freestyle stroke for Boxers, and holds school records in four relay events: the 200-yard freestyle relay, 400 freestyle relay, 800 freestyle relay and 400 medley relay.
The McMinnville, Ore., native was a four-year letterwinner at McMinnville High School. As a senior, Kimura competed in two relay events at the Class 6A state championship meet, placing seventh in the 200 freestyle relay and 11th in the 400 freestyle relay. He was also a team captain for the Grizzlies.
He serves as an assistant coach with his brother, Reid. Their father, Shane, is the head coach of the Linfield volleyball team.
