Reid Kimura is in his fourth season with the Linfield coaching staff.
During matches, Kimura assists with tracking team statistics and opponent tendencies, and at practice helps the team develop all skill sets. He began his coaching career at a volleyball camp in Bend, Ore.
Kimura graduated from the University of Redlands in 2006 with degrees in biology and business. He was a four-year letterwinner in swimming and contributed to four conference championship teams. He was also the team captain for the Bulldogs as a senior and junior.
Prior to his collegiate career, Kimura swam at McMinnville High School, where he was an All-American in the 200 and 400 freestyle relays and an all-league performer in the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke. He was also a two-time Academic All-American.
Kimura is also an assistant coach with the Linfield swimming program. He serves as the recruiting coordinator and also assists with the club’s strength and agility programs.
His father, Shane, is the head volleyball coach at Linfield, and his brother, Scott, is also an assistant for the swimming program.
