Biography
Dominic Doty is in his fourth full season in charge of the Linfield women's soccer program. He took over leadership of the program 2/3 of the way through the 2008 season. During his first full season as Wildcats coach in 2009, he guided Linfield to its first winning season and highest conference finish in seven years. In 2011, the Wildcats achieved second place in the league for the first time in program history while setting a club record for wins (14).
A native of McMinnville, Doty lettered in soccer, basketball and baseball at McMinnville High School, graduating in 2003. He was a four-year starter in both soccer and basketball. A four-time all-Pacific-9 Conference selection in soccer, Doty earned Pac-9 Player of the Year and first team all-state accolades as a senior. He set career records for goals (50), assists (21) and shots on goal (103), and holds the single-season mark for goals (24).
Following graduation, he attended Santa Clara on a soccer scholarship, but chronic injuries cut short his playing career. He graduated from SCU in 2007.
His father, Larry, is coach of the Linfield men’s basketball team.
