Highly skilled player who has found a home at shortstop where she has become the leader of the ‘Cats infield…strong arm, quick release, solid glove skills, and aggressive nature make her one of the best defensive players in the country…shown consistent improvement in offensive game during pre-season and looks set to have a career season at the plate for the Cats…three-year letterwinner…honored with the Golden Glove award as the team’s best defensive player following the 2010 and 2009 seasons…all-West region selection and first team all-NWC pick in 2010 despite breaking her jaw and moving from third base to shortstop midway through the season…started 38 games while hitting .372, clubbing 9 home runs and 7 doubles while driving in 44 runs…enjoyed a great playoff run in 2010, being named to the All-Tournament teams at both the regional and NCAA Championship events - hitting .375, driving 6 runs, and collecting 21 assists at shortstop. . .named first team all-NWC, NFCA first team all-West Region, and a NFCA third team All-American at third base following 2009 season - hitting .401 with 9 doubles, 1 triple, 9 home runs, and posting a sparkling .976 fielding average at third base…winner of team’s Rookie of the Year award after strong freshmen campaign… voted second team all-NWC catcher in 2008 after hitting .270 with five home runs and 24 RBIs…committed only five errors and throwing out 9 of 14 steal attempts…lettered as a freshman in 2008…majoring in mathematics and finance…earned 12 letters in softball, basketball and soccer at Valley Catholic High School in Beaverton...first team all-State honors in softball…Tri-Valley player of the year…Class 3A state player of the year in 2006.
