Ongoing Service Oppotunity- A Family Place and Lutheran Community Services are looking for volunteer bus drivers to help support their Relief Nursery program as well as parent education. They are looking for someone to drive their 14-passenger mini-bus (no CDL required) during one or more of the following times:  M-Th  8:00 AM- 9:00 AM and/or 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM, Tuesdays 4:30-5:30 PM  and 7:00-8:00 PM, Wednesdays 2:30-3:30 PM.  This is a great way to give back to your community and be involved in strengthening vulnerable children and families! Please fill out this application and return it directly to A Family Place.

Montessori Discover Spring Fun Run- April 11th.  Looking for volunteers to help with the race and related activities:  set/clean-up, race course, water tables, kid entertainment (face painting, games, etc.), registration...  Shifts start as early as 6 am to 11 am.  If interested, fill out the online survey:  https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DISCOVERSPRING2015.  Results will be compiled and shifts and jobs emailed. 

Montessori Wellness Fair- During the Fun Run (April 11) there is also a wellness fair.  Organizers are looking for groups interested in hosting a booth on topics like healthy eating, etc.  If interested, contact Emily Broom at volunteers@discoverspring.com. 

Miller Woods:  It seems spring is upon us here at Miller Woods and we are looking for some good help in the nursery.  We are flexible and can work with your schedule depending on work load for the week.  Main jobs will be transplanting bare root plants into containers for our conservation partners and other duties in the nursery (weeding, inventory, seeding, etc)  Please contact me, Clay, at Millerwoodsnursery@gmail.com for more information and please share your available schedule.
