Volunteer Opportunities

HOLIDAY GIVING:  Organizations are now looking for your help with their holiday drives (food, toys, clothing, etc.).  

To find oppurtunities to give or volunteer, visit 211.com.  

Salvation Army- is looking for bell ringers, as well as pots and pans for their youth cooking class. Email jtonn@linfield.edu for contact information.

Health and Resource Fair- Dec. 18th the Virginia Garcia Memorial health Center in Newberg is looking for volunteers with help with medical screenings.  For contact information, email Joni Tonn at jtonn@linfield.edu.  Another health fair will also occur in Mid-February. 

CWISH- is an extreme winter and freezing weather over flow shelter at rotating local churches.  You can help by:

  • Volunteering during shifts, or bringing hot meals in the evening or for breakfast.  Volunteer Training is Tuesday, Dec. 16 at the McMinnville LIbrary (Carnegie Rm) 7-8:30pm
  • Warm weather clothing is also appreciated.  

Ongoing Service Oppotunity- A Family Place and Lutheran Community Services are looking for volunteer bus drivers to help support their Relief Nursery program as well as parent education. They are looking for someone to drive their 14-passenger mini-bus (no CDL required) during one or more of the following times:

M-Th  8:00 AM- 9:00 AM and/or 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Tuesdays 4:30-5:30 PM  and 7:00-8:00 PM

Wednesdays 2:30-3:30 PM
