First CLAS Leader Application Process

Leader Training & Program Dates

Wednesday, May 22 - First CLAS Leader Orientation
August 14-15 - First CLAS Leader Training
August 16-21 - First CLAS Program Dates

Positions

*Eligible students must be a sophomore, junior, or senior for the 2013-2014 Academic Year.

Group Leaders – There will be a total of five Group Leaders and each will receive a $300 stipend. Each First CLAS Group Leader is responsible for a group of 10 first-year students, totaling at 50 First CLAS participants. They are assigned with the task of leading their participants, helping them transition to college life, and acting as a role model for service and student leadership.

Co-Leader – There will be one Co-Leader who will receive a $150 stipend. The First CLAS Co-Leader will assist First CLAS Group Leaders in any way that is needed. They will move freely from group to group and act as a leader, or assistance leader, for the group(s) when necessary. They are assigned with the task of leading their participants, helping them transition to college life, and acting as a role model for service and student leadership.

Applicants must complete the following steps in order to be considered:

1. Completing the online application by 5PM on Friday, May 10, 2013.
2. Sending a resume to Monique Ellefson at mellefso@linfield.edu
3. Contact information of three references: 1 Linfield factuly/staff, 1 supervisor/mentor, and 1 of your choosing. Please include this on your resume.
