Positions Available

*Eligible students must be a sophomore, junior, or senior for the 2015-2016 Academic Year.

Student Coordinator - The First CLAS Student Coordinator will coordinate, lead and support the First CLAS leaders and direct daily activities for the program.  This includes anticipating and responding to administrative needs of the First CLAS leaders and participants, along with acting as a trainer during the Aug. 19-20 training session. Along with the specific responsibilities listed below, this First CLAS leader will be responsible for helping their fellow members with projects as deemed necessary by the First CLAS team and the Community Engagement and Service office.

Group Leaders
– The First CLAS leader will lead an assigned group of incoming first-year students for service opportunities focusing on multiple social issues during a week-long pre-orientation program. Along with the specific responsibilities listed below, this First CLAS leader will be responsible for helping their fellow members with projects as deemed necessary by the First CLAS team and the Community Engagement and Service (CES) office.

Co-Leader – The First CLAS Co-leader will act as ‘floaters’ during the First CLAS program, rotating among assigned groups of incoming first-year student, leading participants through service opportunities focusing on multiple social issues during a week-long pre-orientation program. Along with the specific responsibilities listed below, this First CLAS Co-leader will be responsible for helping their fellow members with projects as deemed necessary by the First CLAS team and the Community Engagement and Service (CES) office.


All positions are full time positions for the duration of the program, with early morning, evening and weekend activities required.
