Community Partners

“Working directly with Habitat taught us about the needs of the community we served, but by using our hands and working up a sweat we physically experienced and lived in the need, rather than simply reading or learning about it.” Linfield student

"What a great group! The groups were both very nice, got along well, and willing to do all the tasks we asked them too, even boring ones like cleaning up." - Community Partner

Students working on Habitat for Humanity Homes

The Office of Community Engagement and Service welcomes community based organizations as partners.

Ways to partner:

  • Sponsor a one-time service project for a Day of Service
  • Host an ongoing program that hosts volunteers weekly or monthly during the school year
  • Host an intern to complete a project or help with an event
  • Help educate students by being available for presentations & speakers in classes

Contact Joni Tonn, or 503-883-2636 for more information on becoming a partner.

Need volunteers?

Linfield College students make great volunteers. Some are looking for one-time opportunities, others for long-term opportunities.
