Community Engagement and Service Community Partners

Community Partners

"What a great group! The groups were both very nice, got along well, and willing to do all the tasks we asked them too, even boring ones like cleaning up." - Community Partner

Students working on Habitat for Humanity Homes

The Office of Community Engagement and Service welcomes partnerships with local non-profits, public organizations, local governemnt and local schools. We provide one day service opportunities, and seek to educate our community about ongoing general partner organization needs, along with volunteer needs.

Ways to partner:

  • Sponsor a one-time service project for a Day of Service
  • Host an ongoing program that hosts volunteers weekly or monthly during the school year
  • Host an intern to complete a project or help with an event
  • Help educate students by being available for presentations & speakers in classes

Contact Joni Tonn, jtonn@linfield.edu or 503-883-2636 for more information on becoming a partner.  "As the Director, I work to reach out, create, and maintain partnerships with local organizations.  I'd love to meet up for coffee, learn about your organization, and keep connected to seek oppurtunities to partner."- Joni

Need volunteers?

Linfield College students make great volunteers. While not all Linfield students are required to volunteer as part of their major, some students are looking for opportunities to connect with the community.

Check out our Volunteer Opportunities page for information on searching for volunteers.
