Alternative Spring Break Assistant Leaders

Have you participated in Alternative Spring Break or a similar service-learning experience? Do you want to gain leadership experience by helping lead an ASB program?

What does an Assistant Leader do?

Assistant Leaders help the Change Corps Service Coordinators. Assitant Leaders will be responsible for helping the Service Coordinator to:

  • Recruit participants
  • Select participants
  • Attend all-team orientation (fall) & retreat (spring)
  • Plan trip budget
  • Work with team to raise funds for program
  • Coordinate letter-writing campaign
  • Plan & attend weekly team meetings in the spring
  • Run program during the week of service including transportation, lodging, food, and service logistics
  • Work with team to plan a post-ASB presentation to the community
  • Evaluate program & make recommendations for next year

Is there compensation?

Assistant Leaders will not need to cover their initial program deposit money due.
