BARRY M. GOLDWATER SCHOLARSHIP
About 300 awards (up to $7500/year) to undergraduate science or mathematics students for their last year or two of undergraduate study. Students must be planning a career in science or mathematics. Awards in two categories: two-year scholarships to those who will be juniors and one-year scholarships to those who will be seniors in the upcoming academic year. HARRY S. TRUMAN SCHOLARSHIP
60 scholarships for up to $30,000 to full-time junior level college students who plan graduate study to prepare for a career in government or another area of public service. Scholars are eligible for additional assistance toward for graduate. US citizen, national, or legal permanent resident. KEMPER SCHOLARSHIP
The Kemper Scholars Program prepares broadly-educated leaders in organization management. One or two first-year Linfield students selected each year. Program seeks unusually mature students with broad interests and a strong record of academic achievement, extracurricular activity, community service, and leadership ability. Scholars receive scholarship assistance for three years ($3,000-$10,000 per year depending on need) and two summer internship with generous stipends, one at a non-profit, the second at a for-profit organization. Provides approximately 80 awards of up to $5000 for tuition, fees, room and board. Applicants must be either 1) college sophomores or juniors with outstanding potential who are studying the environment and related fields, or 2) current sophomores or juniors who are Native American or Alaska Native with outstanding potential and who are studying fields related to health care or tribal policy.
