RHA and RHEC
Residence Housing Association & Residence Housing Executive Council
What is RHA?
RHA is made up of students from every residence hall or apartment. RHA plans events for students in campus housing acts as an intermediary between the students and the College. Each hall or Apartment area has its own unique RHA because each hall or Apartment chooses positions appropriate to their needs.
Mission Statement: To be attentive and responsive to the needs and concerns of the residents, to foster a sense of community both on and off campus, and to encourage a balanced living/learning environment throughout.

Birthday Chair
Peer Judicial Board
Hall /Apartment Area President
Each President serves on the Executive Council (RHEC). This group of individuals
meets weekly meetings and works with the Residence Life Assistant for Leadership
Development. The focus of the group is to plan Campus-wide and community programs,
such as the annual McMinnville community Trick or Treat.
Hall Presidents also coordinate with the RAs and Hall Chairs for giving
voice to community concerns, programming and developing the community.
Responsibilities:
- Attends RHEC meetings (Tuesday 8PM)
- Plans events with their RA and RHA
members in their hall/apartment area
- Attend monthly meetings with other RHA
members and their RA.
Wellness Chair
These members encourage and promote health and wellness issues in their
communities throughout the year. Working with the College Wellness Coordinator,
this group of leaders focuses on providing useful information and programming
for each Residence Hall.
Responsibilities:
- Maintains a bulletin board with
wellness tips and information (halls
only)
- Plans one program a month for
their hall
- Attends monthly meetings with other RHA members and their RA.
Volunteer Chair
Serving the community, both on and off campus, is an important part of
Residential Life at Linfield. Working with the College Volunteer Coordinator,
the Volunteer Chairs help coordinate service projects for their residence halls
as well as the greater Linfield community.
Responsibilities:
- attend meetings with College Volunteer
Coordinator
- coordinate TWO volunteer times with
your hall a semester
- Attends monthly meetings with other RHA members and their RA.
Judicial Board Representative:
The Peer Judicial board is an extremely unique program, which provides
the benefit community accountability. J-Board meets weekly to review cases and
is an entirely peer-guided process that is advised by the Area Director for Judicial
Affairs, Delane Hein. Representatives attend weekly meetings on a rotating basis,
normally serving on 4 sessions a semester.
Hall Senator
The senators on campus rely information to the community and bring concerns
and interests to the senate’s attention. All senators are required to attend
senate meetings Monday night at 6PM. They also Attends monthly meetings with
other RHA members and their RA.
Birthday Chair
Plans events throughout the year to celebrate the birthdays of people in
their hall or apartment area. These celebrations can take place on an individual,
monthly or semester basis.
Responsibilities:

- Attend monthly meetings with other RHA members and their RA.
Intramural (IM) Chair
Organizes hall teams for intramural sports.
Responsibilities:
-Attend monthly meetings with other RHA members and their RA.
