Jan Term Break 2012Mahaffey Hall
If you lived in College Housing for Jan Term housing will be open during January Term Break, Jan 28 – Feb 4.  If you are planning to stay in your college housing at any time during Jan Term Break please fill out the Housing During Break Form that is linked in the purple menu on the left.

Start of Spring Semester 2012
College Housing will open for students returning for Spring Semester on Sunday, February 5 at 10 am.  If you are new to housing for the semester please check in at the Residence Life Office in Mahaffey Hall room 127 between 10 am to 6 pm. 

Spring Housing Open, Sunday, February 5 from 10 am to 6 pm.
Students who were not on campus for Jan Term, can move into spring housing on Sunday, February 5.  Students who were in college housing during Jan Term can remain in college housing during the Jan Term Break if they sign up to be on campus via the following web site.  There is no charge for remaining in college housing over the Jan Term Break if you were in college housing for Jan Term.

College Housing Opens

  • International Students: Thursday, February 2, 10am-4pm, Residence Life Office, Mahaffey Hall
  • New Students (Freshmen, New Transfer Students): Sunday, February 5, 10 am to 6 pm, Residence Life Office, Mahaffey Hall
  • Continuing Students: Sunday, February 27, 10am-6pm or Sunday, August 28, 10 am to 6 pm, Residence Life Office, Mahaffey Hall

Early Arrival Requests for Spring 2012

Scheduling an Early Arrival for Spring Semester

If you were not on campus for Jan Term
and you want to schedule an early arrival, please contact Residence Life and Housing at housing@linfield.edu at least 72 hours in advance of your arrival. You will receive an e-mail confirmation to notify you if your request has been approved and the times and location of your housing check in. All students must complete the account clearing process and have a valid Spring 2012 sticker to be able to check into housing. Students approved for early arrival may not allow their roommates to also move in with them, all students must be approved for early arrival on their own needs.

Early Arrival Fee
If you are NOT required by the College to be on-campus early but are approved in advance by Residence Life to check-in, you will be charged a $25.00 per night room fee. This will be charged to your student account from the date of check-in until housing officially opens:

Meal Plans
Your meal plan does not begin until dinner on Sunday, February 5. If you are choosing to arrive early, you are responsible for your own meals.
