
The Office of Institutional Research collects and disburses reliable, consistent, and accurate information about the institution and its operations in order to support planning and decision-making. Institutional Research publishes the “Fact Book” to reflect the current state of the college as well as trends over time. IR provides regular reports to administrative and academic departments and responds to particular requests from administrators, faculty, and students. IR reports to state and federal agencies, to consortia interests, and to a variety of other external organizations (college surveys & guides, for example). This office supports Linfield in effectively fulfilling its mission of connecting learning, life, and community.
Information reported is generally in an aggregate form that cannot be linked to any individual. Any information that remains identifiable is handled by Linfield officials in the course of their professional responsibilities and in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.
