The Office of Institutional Research collects and disburses reliable, consistent, and accurate information about the institution and its operations in order to support planning, decision-making, and institutional assessment. Institutional Research publishes the “Fact Book” to reflect the current state of the college as well as trends over time. IR provides regular reports to administrative and academic divisions and responds to particular requests from administrators, faculty, and students as time allows. IR helps Linfield fulfill its responsibilities to federal and state agencies, as well as to consortia and other organizations (college surveys & guides, for example).
Information reported is generally in an aggregate form that cannot be linked to any individual. Any information that remains identifiable is handled by Linfield officials in the course of their professional responsibilities and in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.
