Registration Schedule for Jan Term - Spring Semester 2018

Below are the current registration appointments for students based on completed credits. Courses you are currently enrolled in will not count toward this total.

To determine your completed credits:

  1. Access WebAdvisor
  2. Click on "Transcripts." Arrow down to find completed credits.

Once you have this number, find your number of completed credits on the chart below to discover at what time you can begin registration. You may NOT register before your assigned registration slot, but you may register at any time after it.

If you are unable to register during your slotted time, see the Before You Can Register page to make sure you do not have any holds preventing you from registering. You may also want to read the Registration Information page if you are unsure how to proceed with adding classes.

The registration schedule is based on COMPLETED credits. This does not include your 2017 Fall semester courses. Transcripts for courses taken elsewhere must arrive in the Linfield Registrar's Office by October 30, 2017 in order to be evaluated in time to count toward your completed credits for registration.

Normal Load:

The normal load at Linfield College is 12-16 credits per semester. Students with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher may register for up to 18 credits per semester without advisor approval.

Overload:
To take more than 16 credits, students with a GPA below 3.5 must complete a "Higher-than-Normal Credit Load Petition," obtain their advisor's signature, and bring the petition to the Registrar's Office with a completed add form.
To take more than 18 credits, all students must complete a "More Than 18 Credits Petition" and have it signed by their advisor and VP for Academic Affairs Susan Agre-Kippenhan. Additional tuition charges will apply if enrolling in more than 18 credits. - Contact the Student Accounts office (503-883-2241) for more information.
