Introduction to the structure and functions of ecosystems, communities, and populations with emphasis on terrestrial and fresh water environments. Introduction to the science of laboratory ecology and field research. Quantitative field techniques, basic statistical tools, and independent research study. $60 lab fee. Prerequisite: 211 or ENVS 201. 5 credits. (NW or QR)
