3/17/2008 Ethics topic of Linfield lecture
McMINNVILLE – James Legler, director of the Center for Ethical Leadership at Minnesota's Concordia College, will speak on "Can One Design Ethical Organizations? The Journey to Yes" Wednesday, March 19, at 7 p.m. in Riley 201 at Linfield College.
Legler holds a Ph.D. from Oregon State University in addition to an MBA with a concentration in organizational behavior and human resource management and a master's in organizational communications. He has held faculty positions at Northwest Christian College, Wartburg College in Iowa and Concordia College, where he has worked since 1999 and currently holds a tenured associate professorship in conjunction with his duties as director of the college's Center for Ethical Leadership. As center director, Legler regularly consults with organizations seeking to enhance the fit between ethical decision making and an organization's internal climate, mission and values.
Legler has been serving as a Business Fellow at Linfield where he has been conducting a four-week seminar for interested staff and students on the organizational ethics.
