The open house will be held Saturday, Nov. 10, following the Linfield football game at approximately 5 p.m., in the KSLC studio in the basement of Renshaw Hall at Linfield.
KSLC is a non-profit educational FM station run entirely by students. It plays a diverse mix of programming, with alternative music and news during the day and specialty shows in a variety of genres at night.
Over the summer, KSLC moved from its previous home in Pioneer Hall to new quarters in Renshaw Hall. The tour will include the new studio, production facility, staff offices and studio equipment.
The facilities have improved KSLC and the way it is run, according to Alex Maxson, a junior majoring in studio art and mass communication, and one of the event organizers.
"With new equipment and a new location we are able to be a staple to the school and get more DJs interested in being a part of the radio station," Maxson said.
The open house is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Maxson at email@example.com or Nancy Cornwell, associate professor of mass communication, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 503-883-2271.
