10/15/2007 Halloween festivities transform Linfield
McMINNVILLE – Local families will be offered a safe and fun way to celebrate Halloween when Linfield College hosts a trick-or-treat tour of campus and a haunted house on Wednesday, Oct. 31.
Children 13 years old and younger are invited to take part in the eighth annual trick-or-treat tour of participating residence halls from 5:30 to 8 p.m., sponsored by the Linfield College Residence Hall Executive Council. Linfield students will lead the tours beginning in the Fred Meyer Lounge in Riley Hall, and parents are expected to accompany their children throughout the tour.
A Halloween haunted house will be held from 7 p.m. to midnight at the Delta Psi Delta fraternity house, 369 College Ave. Delta Psi Delta fraternity and Zeta Tau Alpha sorority will host the event. The haunted house may not be appropriate for young children. Tour guides will be on hand to escort participants throughout the house. The event is a fundraiser for the Yamhill County Food Bank, so although there is no entrance fee, donations and canned foods will be accepted.
