4/18/2002 Black Student Union members to host barbecue
McMINNVILLE ? Members of the Linfield College Black Student Union are gearing up for the ninth annual BSU Barbecue, which will be held Friday, May 3, from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Linfield campus.
The barbecue, co-sponsored by Phi Sigma Sigma sorority, will be held near Memorial Fountain on the lawn between Dillin Hall and the athletics complex. In case of rain, the barbecue will be moved to the Fred Meyer Lounge in Riley Hall.
The menu features barbecued pork ribs and chicken, baked beans, cole slaw, corn bread, dessert and juice. A raffle profiting the Multicultural Adoption Advising Program (MAAP) will be held during the barbecue. In addition, the Linfield Dance Team will perform.
The event is open to the community. Tickets are $7.50 for adults, $5.50 for Linfield students on the meal plan and $4 for children 12 and under. Advance tickets can be purchased beginning Monday, April 22, in Riley Hall and Dillin Hall. Tickets may also be reserved by
