4/17/2007 Linfield seniors plan music recitals

McMINNVILLE - Linfield College seniors will present senior music recitals in April, marking the culmination of their Linfield musical education.

Annie Mastrandrea, soprano, and Ryan Jones, baritone, will perform Saturday, April 21, at 7 p.m. in the Richard and Lucille Ice Auditorium, located in Melrose Hall. Mastrandrea, of Gresham, will earn a degree in biology and a minor in music. Jones, of Twin Falls, Idaho, will earn a degree in mass communication, with minors in music and German.

Flautist Laura Mattingly will perform Saturday, April 28, at 7 p.m. in Ice Auditorium. Mattingly, of Austin, Texas, is majoring in philosophy and music performance, with a German minor. She has played flute for 10 years.

Two sopranos, Erica Jossi and Lindsey Jorgensen, will present a recital Sunday, April 29, at 7 p.m. in Ice Auditorium. Jossi, of Forest Grove, will earn a degree in music education and mathematics. Jorgensen, of Newberg, a junior, is a music education major.

Debra Huddleston, Linfield adjunct professor of music, will accompany the student performers.

The evenings are free and open to the public. Receptions will follow the performances in Jonasson Hall, lower level of Melrose Hall. For more information, call the Linfield Music Department at 503-883-2275.
