5/1/2006 Two exhibitions show student art on Linfield campus
McMINNVILLE ? Two exhibits featuring student art will be on display at the Linfield College Fine Art Gallery May 3-28.
An exhibition for the studio practices class will be held May 3-13, with a reception on Wednesday, May 3, at 7 p.m. in the gallery, located in the James F. Miller Fine Arts Center at Linfield. The show will feature student work in the areas of painting, photography, ceramics, video and sculpture completed during the semester.
A second exhibit, "Clay Nation," will be held May 17-28 with a reception on Wednesday, May 17, at 7 p.m. in the gallery. The show will include about 20 ceramic figures, each two to three feet tall with unique characteristics, positioned around the gallery.
The Linfield exhibit is free and open to the public. The Linfield Fine Art Gallery is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The gallery will also be open May 13, 27 and 28. To reach the gallery from 99W, turn east on Keck Drive at the McMinnville Market Center in south McMinnville. Turn right on Lever Street and right again on Ford Drive. The art gallery is located to the west of the parking lot in the James F. Miller Fine Arts Center, north of Nicholson Library. For more information, call 503-883-2804.
