4/24/2006 Dance Ensemble to perform at Linfield

McMINNVILLE ? Students in the Linfield College Dance Ensemble will showcase their dance and choreography skills in two performances, ?Dynamic Expressions,? Friday and Saturday, May 5 and 6, in Melrose Auditorium. Both shows begin at 8 p.m. and admission is free to the public.

The performances will feature a variety of dance styles, including tap, modern and ballet, as well as several student-choreographed pieces. Two of the works are choreographed by Emily Ross, Linfield adjunct professor of music and dance ensemble class instructor.

Student dancers and choreographers include freshmen Sarah Zywicki of Portland, Kelsey Habura of Las Vegas, Nev., Elizabeth Link of Molalla, Taylor Haworth of Tigard, Amber McKenna of Clackamas, Miyuki Hayashi of Redwood City, Calif., Jessica Richey of North Bend, Stephanie Malone of Sammamish, Wash., Whitney Cole of Sandy and Mizuho Komuro of Molalla; sophomore Bernice Nisbett of Kodiak, Alaska; juniors Rachelle Mills of Newberg and Jennifer Mulgrew of Spokane, Wash.; and seniors Kristine Crocker of Ferndale, Wash., and Heather Williams of Redding, Cal For more information, contact the Linfield Music Department at 503-883-2275.
