2/15/2006 Craig Lesley to present reading at Linfield College
McMINNVILLE ? Craig Lesley, the author of four novels and a memoir, will present a reading Saturday, Feb. 25, at 2 p.m. in the Austin Reading Room of the Jereld R. Nicholson Library at Linfield College.
Lesley is a lifelong resident of the Pacific Northwest and the author of "Burning Fence," "The Sky Fisherman," "Winterkill," "Storm Riders" and "River Song." He has received three Pacific Northwest Booksellers Association Awards and the Western Writers of America Golden Spur Award for Best Novel. "Storm Riders" won the Oregon Book Award. He has been the recipient of several national fellowships and holds a Doctorate of Humane Letters from Whitman College. Currently he is the senior writer-in-residence at Portland State University. Both "Storm Riders" and "The Sky Fisherman" were nominated for the Pulitzer Prize.
