11/23/2005 Linfield students display art in two exhibitions
McMINNVILLE ? Two exhibits featuring student art will be on display at the Linfield College Fine Art Gallery Nov. 28 through Dec. 16.
An exhibition for the studio practices class will be held Nov. 28 through Dec. 2. A second show, "Mid-thesis Exhibition," will be held Dec. 5-16 with a reception featuring presentations by four students on Wednesday, Dec. 14, at 7 p.m. in the gallery. The four students include seniors Eric Davis-Hawkins of Corvallis, Joann Lundberg of Portland, Mary Doyle of Livingston, Mont., and Elizabeth Spencer of Bellevue, Wash.
Both shows will feature student work in the areas of painting, photography, ceramics and sculpture completed during the semester.
The Linfield exhibit is free and open to the public. The Linfield Fine Art Gallery is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. To reach the gallery from 99W, turn east on Keck Drive at the McMinnville Market Center in south McMinnville. Turn right on Lever Street and right again on Ford Drive. The art gallery is located to the west of the parking lot in the James F. Miller Fine Arts Center, north of Nicholson Library. For more information, call 503-883-2804.
