UPCOMING EVENTS AT LINFIELD COLLEGE

MONDAY, OCT. 3

LECTURE: Margaret Kitt will speak on "Challenges in Afghanistan: Experience from a Women’s Hospital in Kabul, 2003-Present" at Linfield College on Monday, Oct. 3, at 7:30 p.m. in Jonasson Hall, lower level of Melrose Hall. It is free and open to the public. For more information, call 503-883-2222.

TUESDAY, OCT. 4

NATURE LECTURE: American nature writing specialist John Elder will present "The Poetry of Attentiveness" Tuesday, Oct. 4, at 7:30 p.m. in the Austin Reading Room at the Linfield College Nicholson Library. The lecture, which is free and open to the public, is sponsored by the Ken and Donna Ericksen Endowed English Department Fund. For more information, call 503-883-2583.

THEATRE: Four Linfield College students will explore Japanese theatre during the first production of the year, "A Corpse With Feet" by Betsuyaku Minoru. The play will run Oct. 4-7 at 8 p.m. at the Marshall Theatre in Ford Hall. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students and seniors (62+). Tickets may be purchased at the Marshall Theatre box office from 3 to 5 p.m., with expanded hours on performance days. The box office is located just inside the lobby of Ford Hall.
