11/10/2004 Linfield Thanksgiving service planned
McMINNVILLE ? The annual Linfield College Thanksgiving service will be held on Sunday, Nov. 21, at 7:30 p.m. in Melrose Auditorium.
The service, sponsored by the Chaplain?s Office, is open to the public.
Dewey Bertolini, associate pastor at Bethel Baptist Church, will be the keynote speaker for the service. He is in demand as a teacher and conference speaker where he annually speaks to thousands of adults, parents, pastors, students and youth workers at camps, conventions and conferences. During his time as a pastor, Bertolini has led 10 study tours to the Middle East, including the countries of Israel, Greece, Turkey and Italy. He often integrates his teachings with historic, geographic and cultural background gained from his journeys.
Robert Rife will lead the music for the service. Rife has an extensive interest in choral, Celtic, folk and rock music, which leads him to provide a unique music ministry. Rife, originally from Canada, hold a bachelor?s degree in music and vocal performance from Providence College in Manitoba.
The night will also showcase other student musicians including ?Ebenezer,? a group made up of senior Dan Schafer, junior Dustin Blumenstein and senior Terri Hafer.
