The open house will provide students and their parents an opportunity to explore Linfield?s academic and extracurricular offerings. Information will be provided on the admission process, financial aid, academic offerings, student activities and college life. Students can interact with current students and ask questions on a variety of topics. In addition, faculty and staff will be on hand to answer questions and discuss Linfield?s learning environment, academic programs and activities on and off campus.
The day will begin with registration and student-led campus tours from 8:30 to 10 a.m. in the Fred Meyer Lounge in Riley Hall. The last tour will depart at 9:10 a.m. Linfield President Vivian Bull will welcome participants to campus at 10 a.m. in Melrose Auditorium, followed by a discussion of admission and financial aid from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., also in Melrose Auditorium. Visitors can join Linfield faculty, staff and students for lunch in Dillin Hall, held from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Participants can choose to attend two of four afternoon breakout sessions to learn more about Linfield?s experiential learning opportunities from 1:15 to 3 p.m. The sessions include "Study Abroad and January Term Off-Campus Program" in 220 Walker Hall, "Athletics and Health and Human Performance at Linfield" in 112 HHPA, "Linfield College: Academics in a Liberal Arts Environment" in 102 Pioneer Hall and "Student Life at Linfield College" in Jonasson Hall, lower level of Melrose Hall. The day will conclude with a wrap-up session at 3 p.m. in the Fred Meyer Lounge in Riley Hall.
