The recital is free and open to the public.
More than 25 students, along with faculty and community members will be featured. The afternoon will include performances by a Brass Quintet, Brass Quartet and Wind Symphony, all under the direction of Joan Haaland Paddock, associate professor of music; Flute Duo and Linfield Woodwind Ensembles, directed by Steve Kravitz, adjunct professor of music; Linfield Cello Ensembles, led by Sherill Roberts, adjunct professor of music; Linfield String Ensemble, directed by Karen Vincent, adjunct professor of music; and Linfield Percussion Ensemble, under the direction of Kirsten Swanson, adjunct professor of music.
Music on the program includes several works composed by Linfield faculty and students. "Four Speed," written by Swanson, will be played by the Percussion Ensemble. The Brass Quintet will perform "Rabota Chorta," an original piece written by Chuck Dunn, assistant professor of mathematics. The Woodwind Quintet will perform "Woodwind Quintet #2" written by Linfield sophomore Seann Branchfield.
