10/15/2003 Area youth invited to Linfield trick-or-treat tour
McMINNVILLE ? Local children will be offered a safe and fun way to celebrate Halloween when Linfield College students host the fifth annual trick-or-treat tour of campus Friday, Oct. 31, from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
Children up to 15 years old are invited to take part in the trick-or-treat tour of participating residence halls, sponsored by Residence Life and the Residence Hall Executive Council. Linfield students will lead the tours beginning in the Fred Meyer Lounge in Riley Hall. Cookies and hot chocolate will be provided to parents and children. Parents are expected to accompany their children throughout the tour.
"It's a great way to get the Linfield students who live in the residence halls involved in the community without them even having to leave their rooms. And it is always fun to see the kids all dressed up and excited about Halloween," said junior Meghan Parchem, community coordinator for Residential Relations.
More than 100 children took part in last year's tour. For more information, call 503-883-
