An opening reception will be held Wednesday, May 14, at 7 p.m. in the gallery.
The exhibit will feature the work of 11 art majors, all members of the studio practices class, which requires students to create a complete body of work ending with a culminating show. Shaun Jarvis, adjunct professor of art, will exhibit black and white photography.
Seniors exhibiting include Ricky Gaspar of Olympia, Wash., glass; Karl Lipke of Longview, Wash., black and white photography; and Rhea Hartlieb of Lake Oswego, print making. Juniors exhibiting include Jessica Glidden of Tok, Alaska, mixed media; Katie Howell of White City, digital media; Ryan Clark of Kirkland, Wash., digital media; Erin Gorringe of Boise, Idaho, monotypes; Carl Johnson of Bothell, Wash., very mixed oil on masonite; and Kellie Meeuwsen of Banks, oil on canvas. Freshman Alison Stevenson of Antrim, Ireland, will also exhibit her work of installations.
"The exhibit is guaranteed to be an interesting array of art work from very talented Linfield art students," said Gorringe, one of the exhibit organizers.
The Linfield Fine Art Gallery is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. To reach the gallery, from 99W turn on Keck Drive, across from Roth's market in south McMinnville.
