The event is sponsored by the Linfield Activities Board (LAB) and the Associated Students of Linfield College (ASLC). As in previous years, the goal of Wildstock is to expose music fans to a variety of bands, with musical styles ranging from punk and acoustic-rock to alternative-country. This year's band lineup will include Mary Arden Collins, Stereo Crush, Chinua Hawk, Paradigm and the Carolines.
"This year we are hoping to make Wildstock one of the biggest ever," said Lix Kloxin, vice president of LAB. "The active participation of innumerable members of the Linfield community and the involvement from many Linfield groups will make it a fabulous time."
To add to the musical entertainment, many local food vendors and Linfield clubs will have booths at the event. Some of the activities will include a mechanical bull, human gyroscope, rock 'em sock 'em, sticky fly wall, a henna tattoo artist and a caricature artist. Pronto Pup and Big Daddy Bento will be among several local food vendors participating.
Last year's attendance averaged 300 people throughout the day and Kloxin expects this year's crowd to be even larger. Wildstock is LAB's biggest event of the year.
