The barbeque, co-sponsored by Phi Sigma Sigma sorority, will be held near Memorial Fountain on the lawn between Dillin Hall and the athletic complex. In case of rain, the barbeque will be moved inside Dillin Hall.
The menu will feature barbequed pork ribs and chicken, baked beans, potato salad, corn muffins, dessert and juice. A raffle profiting the Multicultural Adoption Advising Program (MAAP) will be held during the barbeque.
"The barbeque is a chance to bring the Linfield community together in a positive way," said Dale Casey, one of the student coordinators. "It is also a chance to contribute to the ongoing success of the mentoring (adoption) program."
The event is open to the community. Tickets are $7.50 for adults, $5.50 for Linfield students on the meal plan and $4 for children 12 and under. Advance tickets can be purchased beginning Monday, April 22, in Riley Hall and Dillin Hall. Tickets may also be reserved by contacting Barry Tucker, director of multicultural programs, at 503-883-2574.
