The concert, which is free and open to the public, will feature a wide-ranging program including works by Giovanni Croce, Trond Kverno, Noel Goemanne, G. F. Handel, Gyorgy Orban, Daniel E. Gawthrop, Rene Clausen, D.V. Montoya and C. Whitney Coombs.
This is the 73rd tour by the Linfield Concert Choir, organized in 1930 and the oldest such group in the Pacific Northwest. Throughout its 70-year history, the choir has distinguished itself with concerts and convention appearances throughout the 10 western states and Canada. The choir has performed throughout the world including Vienna, Eisenstadt, Salzburg, Stuttgart and London. The choir was the choir-in-residence at the Summer School on Choral Conducting in Wellington, New Zealand, touring for a month through New Zealand and Australia. In 1995 the choir performed with both the Portland Youth Philharmonic and the Linfield Chamber Orchestra after returning from a three-week concert/study tour of China.
