The show will feature a variety of acts including singing, dancing and theatrical performances. The BSU Step will open the show performing a dance routine representative of African American culture and rhythm. Linfield students, faculty and staff, and community members are invited to attend and participate in the event. Cash prizes will be awarded to first, second and third place acts. Door prizes in the form of certificates and donations from local businesses will be given to audience members.
The show will be a tribute to Marty Williams, the senior football tailback who was injured on the field against University of Puget Sound on Oct. 12. Williams is the choreographer of the BSU Step routine featured in the performance.
Advance tickets are $3 each or $2.50 for a group of 10 or more. They are on sale in Dillin Hall weekdays from noon to 1:30 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m., and at the door. Proceeds from the show will be used to sponsor other BSU activities such as scheduling speakers during Black History Month and for the celebration honoring Martin Luther King, Jr.
